Children's Summer Camp
June 24th - 27th, 2012
The annual Summer Camp, is once again one of the main events the children look forward to,
where they learn what we do, why we do it
and how we do it. This year the theme is "Danish Traditions" and we will present: holidays celebrated, Danish cooking and culture, through
the creative, visual and performing arts in their multi-faceted expressions.

Some of the holidays we cover are: Fastelavn, Easter, Mortens Aften, Grundlovsdag, Sct. Hans, Jul
to mention a few. Moreover, the children are invited to participate in the sleep over, bonfire and
the daily visit at the swimming pool. Suggested age for participants is 5-13 years, however,
please contact us if you would like your younger or older child to participate. 

Fee: $125 (incl. materials, all events, breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner)

Klippe Klistre and Lucia Sign Up

Family-oriented Service at 11am


Shortly after the close of services we will begin the sign up and rehearsal for the Lucia Procession. Both boys and girls are invited. It is a child-centered afternoon for children of ALL AGES.

Join us to make cookies, crafts and ornaments for the Christmas season. Patterns, materials and dough will be on hand.  In short it will be a wonderful (messy) time with children and parents and/or grandparent.

Suggested donation for participation: $5.00/person

11th ANNUAL JULEMARKED
Saturday, November 27th 9.30 am-3.30 pm

   

Get your holiday shopping done from vendors selling handmade and imported items showcasing their their Scandinavian heritage. Unique findings include cross stitched runners, painted wooden clogs, trolls, dolls and Christmas ornaments as well as hand-crafted jewelry and amber with sterling silver.

Our fabulous kitchen volunteers will prepare Danish style open-faced sandwiches as well as æbleskiver and glögg. For sale in “The Deli” will be Danish cheeses, breads, jams and cookies as well as flæskesteg, leverpostej, medisterpølse, rullepølse prepared by Max. Bring your family and friends for a great way to get into the Yuletide spirit.
Entrance fee-$2.00 (entitles you to a free cup of fresh coffee or hot tea)
